Manners Eating Etiquette
- Eat/drink while sitting down.
- Using your right hand.
- Try not to talk while doing so.
- Eat what is in front of you first, rather than reaching out and over. Chew your food properly
Duaa Before Eating
Arabic: Allahomma barik lana fima razaqtana waqina athaban-nar. Bismillah.
Arabic: Bismillah.
English: In the name of Allah

English: Oh Allah! Bless the food You have provided us and save us from the punishment of the hellfire. In the name of Allah.
Duaa After Eating
Arabic: Alhamdulillah.
English: Praise be to Allah
&
Arabic: Alhamdulillah il-lathi at’amana wasaqana waja’alana Muslimeen.
English: Praise be to Allah Who has fed us and given us drink, and made us Muslims.
- A Muslim must say and believe in the Shahaadah.
- The declaration of faith is made through believing in and saying the Shahaadah, as follows, “I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
- Only Allah has the power to create All of Allah’s creation reflect His Glory.
- Allah created everything. People can see the creation of Allah everywhere.

They see the creation on the ground and in the air. Allah created living beings and non-living things.
The planets, stars, sky, clouds, earth, birds, fish animals, plants, sand, stone, and human beings are all
creations of Allah.
Allah created everything that is on
the ground or in the air. Every Muslim
believes in this.
