Surah Al-fatiha 2

إهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Show us the straight way

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
the Path of those You have blessed—not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray.

Introduction to
Hadith
- The Hadith is the collected traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PeaceBe Upon Him).
- Based on his sayings and actions.
- A record of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PeaceBe Upon Him) traditions or expressions, respected and accepted.
- Second only to the authority of the Quran, Islam’s sacred book.
- A Muslim must say and believe in the Shahaadah.
- The declaration of faith is made through believing in and saying the Shahaadah, as follows, “I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
- Only Allah has the power to create All of Allah’s creation reflect His Glory.
- Allah created everything. People can see the creation of Allah everywhere.
- Islam is built on five pillars.
- The most important pillar is the Shahaadah (the testimony of faith).
- Muslims must believe in and practice all five pillars.

The five pillars are
- To bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
- To perform Salah (prayer).
- To give Zakat (charity).
- To fast during the month of Ramadaan.
- To perform Hajj (pilgrimage).
